Police Officer Entrance Exam


The Civil Service Commission recently conducted entrance exams through the National Testing Network, Inc. (NTN) for the position of Police Officer. The next available testing date is scheduled to be in November-December 2017. Information about the National Testing Network used for classified Civil Service exams for the City of Whitehall.

When testing is available (Firefighter, Police Officer, Dispatcher and Clerical) , please go to www.nationaltestingnetwork.com, and sign up for the City of Whitehall. Exams are held at various times. Please see the above information regarding each potential exam date. The application period must be open in order to apply and send test scores.  

What to expect at the www.nationaltestingnetwork.com website:

  • Completion of the application process.
  • Review all information related to the City of Whitehall positions including minimum requirements, salary and benefits. 
  • Schedule your own convenient test time. Tests can be offers multiple times a week, including Saturdays.
  • Opportunity to take online practice tests.
  • Take high quality job simulation tests in a standardized, fair testing environment.
  • Upon completion of the entry level exam, all candidate scores are automatically forwarded to the City of Whitehall's Civil Service Commission.  Candidates who attain a passing score on the entry level exam will be placed on the eligibility list. The City of Whitehall's Civil Service Commission will contact candidates on the list when a position becomes vacant and at that time will invite them to continue to in other stages of the selection process.

    National Testing Network does not replace the City of Whitehall's Civil Service Commission responsibility and decision making in the testing process.  All candidate results are provided to the City of Whitehall where the final decisions are made.
