Notice is hereby given that on June 4, 2019, a public hearing will be held at the City of Whitehall, Ohio, in the Council Chambers in Whitehall City Hall, 360 S. Yearling Road, Whitehall, Ohio 43213 (the “City”) at 7:00 p.m. E.D.T. with respect to the proposed issuance by the City of securities in one or more series as part of a plan of finance in the maximum principal amount of $5,700,000 (the “Securities”), pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code.
The Securities will be issued as qualified 501(c)(3) bonds the proceeds of which will be used, together with other available funds, to pay the costs of the improvement and expansion of the City’s municipal recreation facilities by constructing, reconstructing, furnishing and equipping the facility at Whitehall Community Park, including one or more additions thereto, together with all necessary and related appurtenances thereto (the “Recreation Center Improvements”). The Recreation Center Improvements are located at 402 S. Hamilton Road, Whitehall, Ohio 43213, and the City will own the Recreation Center Improvements.
Persons wishing to express their views on the proposed Securities and the Recreation Center Improvements to be financed by the Securities may appear at the hearing or may submit their views in writing. Any written submissions should be sent to the City Auditor, City of Whitehall, Ohio, 360 S. Yearling Road, Whitehall, Ohio 43213 and clearly marked “Re: Recreation Center Improvement Securities”. Written submissions should be mailed in sufficient time to be received before the above-referenced public hearing on June 4, 2019.
