City Announces Next Steps for Intersection of Broad and Hamilton

This City of Whitehall is proud to announce next steps for the intersection of Broad Street and Hamilton Road. The site will be transformed into a vibrant mixed-use development with the help of national real estate developer N.R. Investments which has been selected as the lead developer for the public/private partnership group that will transform these 50-acres and create a one-of-a-kind community development.
Assisting in the planning process will be Duany, Plater-Zyberk & Co. (DPZ) which is a national leader in planning, urban design and architecture. Additional local and regional partners include M+A Architects, Ruscilli Construction Company, the Central Ohio Community Improvement Corporation, Franklin County, the Ohio Housing Finance Agency, E.P. Ferris, the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA), the Columbus-Franklin County Finance Authority and NAI Ohio Equities.

In the coming months, the City will work with this dynamic team to plan a site that will provide hundreds of thousands of square feet of new commercial and office space, retail, restaurants and entertainment, integrated mobility, unmatched access and connectivity to greenspace, trails and Whitehall Community Park as well as hundreds of new residential units. The City is also requiring that 20% of the total residential units added be dedicated for workforce housing.

Stay tuned in the weeks and months ahead for more details on how to engage with the City on this exciting development process!
