The Whitehall Division of Police Narcotics Unit, along with the Joint Eastside Tactical Unit, executed two search warrants on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 stemming from an investigation into Trafficking in Heroin.
Detectives seized $15,107 in cash, 500 grams of heroin, 18 grams of cocaine, 1,100 grams of marijuana and 2 firearms. Marcus Smith - D.O.B. 7/18/1994 - was arrested and charged with Possession of Drugs (F-1). He could later be indicted on charges including Possession of Drugs (F-3) and Having Weapons Under Disability (F-3).
The Whitehall Police Department Narcotics Unit continues its fight against drugs in and around the community. Deputy Chief Tracy Sharpless stated, "This is another heroin dealer taken off the streets, whose heroin was making its way into Whitehall."
