2019 Music in the Parks Series
NEW STARTING THIS YEAR all shows begin at 6:30 pm unless otherwise noted
6/2 British Invasion- Kick off the Music in the Park summer series with an afternoon of fun at John Bishop Park. Join us for an 'I spy" park party starting at 4:30 including The Greater Columbus Concert Band, family activities, bounce houses and more. Top the evening off with the ultimate tribute to 60's British rock, taking the amphitheater stage at 6:30 pm.
6/9 John Schwab Band- Best known as lead singer for the legendary McGuffey Lane, has been playing music for over twenty years but his sound is as fresh as the new wave of talent infusing the industry. Playing your favorite cover tunes with “The Party Band” has a song list stretching from Jimi Hendrix to Jimmy Buffet and from James Taylor to James Brown, audiences will be smiling and toe tapping and are never left disappointed.
6/16 Dan Orr- Columbus legend playing a solid gold playlist of classic rock that is sure to entertain. Fantastic and fun way to wrap up your Father's Day weekend.
6/22 Popgun- Popgun is made up of the best musicians in the Midwest. They play the finest pop and rock music from the late 60’s through the 80’s, often covering your favorite music that other bands simply cannot pull off. Their performance will leave you reeling and feeling like you’ve just taken part in something special
6/30 Reganomics- The Reganomics are the Midwest’s most exciting 80’s dance and party band. Based in Columbus, Ohio, The Reaganomics are the area’s most electrifying eighties show and have truly become the “must-see” act in the region.
7/7 LDNL- Carry over the fun of the 4th of July with internationally known, LDNL. An energetic,successful and high profile live hip-hop band that has toured many parts of the world. They deliver the most current music to keep the party moving. Songs are merged so there are no breaks in the set so it is almost impossible to stop dancing!
7/14 Dean Simms- This dynamic show band specializes in all genres of music in the last 100 years up to today’s Pop Culture. Put on your dancing shoes and come on out for a groovy evening in the park.
7/21 Lee Gantt Band- The unique blend of old-style country lyrics and new-school country melodies are hallmarks of the Lee Gantt sound. Gritty, heartfelt lyrics with powerful driving melodies help to fortify the deep connection Lee has with his fans.
7/28 Mojoflo- Come on out to John Bishop Park on #WhitehallWeekend for our 3 on 3 basketball tournament and stick around for a spell-binding performance. MojoFlo while remaining rooted in Funk, Rock, & Jazz, manages to transcend the traditional boundaries of said genres and keep you moving.
